Books Featuring Women of Color in Arts, Science and Service

February is a great month to study biographies! We love introducing diverse books to young students that showcase historical figures from all walks of life! Here are some of our favorite read alouds that feature black women that excelled in reading, art community organizing and science! In this illustrated picture book edition, we explore the story of four female African American mathematicians at NASA, known as "colored computers," and how they overcame gender and racial barriers to succeed in a highly challenging STEM-based career.
